In the
wake of 2008's lauded self-titled CD/EP, THE PROMISE HERO follow up
with their eagerly anticipated debut full-length, Wait For The Sun.
The album includes 12 accessible tracks showcasing a wide selection of
influences. Produced by Jamie Woolford (PUNCHLINE, THE STEREO),
Wait For The Sun is filled to the brim with the same hook-laden,
guitar-driven pop songs THE PROMISE HERO have become known for since
their conception. The album instantly demands the listener’s attention with
the campy, harmony-laced opener "Winning Or Losing" and shifts dynamic
throughout with the infectious "Why My So Jealous" sandwiched in-between the
hard-hitting tracks "Heartbreak Baby" and "Sweetheart". Local favorites to
the Cleveland music scene, THE PROMISE HERO consists of long time
friends and songwriters Bobby Vaughn and Daniel Weiss, who are joined by the
force-to-be-reckoned-with rhythm section of Jeff DiLorenzo and Frank Fini. |

Some might
call BARELY BLIND the most ambitious band out these days. After
extensive touring in 2008, this southeast Texas based quartet that's been
together since freshman/sophomore year of high school, BARELY BLIND,
completed over 150 shows and sold over 10,000 copies of their 2007 TDR
Records release The Way We Operate CD/EP. The band offers a unique
perspective on pop melody, while retaining the foundation of hard-driving
rock N roll. In 2009, BARELY BLIND continues to work even harder to
prove they’re a contender for the future of music. After wrapping up
recording with producer Paul Leavitt (ALL TIME LOW, SENSES FAIL,
THE BLED), the band self-released a new CD/EP, My Life With A
Giant, on June 2, 2009. BARELY BLIND believes they can rise above
and beyond all they have already accomplished. Expect BARELY BLIND in
your town soon as well as a music video for quite possibly the catchiest
song on their new EP, "Panic Attacks Are Normal." |

Nowadays
it's becoming more and more difficult to find a band that actually possesses
real song- writing skills. So many bands are so focused on sounding “trendy”
that they unintentionally create products that have been done thousands of
times beforehand. THE PRIZE FIGHT are proving to be an exception to
this ever growing trend with their 2006 release of The Process CD/EP.
Though only six songs, The Process proves that rock can have that
fashionable pop-sensibility while keeping a certain level of diversity.
Filled with brilliant guitar melodies, an unbelievable rhythm section and
well thought out lyrics, this album contains real substance from beginning
to end. Simply put, THE PRIZE FIGHT writes songs that fans of good
music will love. |
