Watch Punchline perform a stripped down version of “Whatever I Want, Whenever I
Want” from their show at the Smiling Moose last February. I think they did a
great job performing this song after “deciding” to play it an hour before the
AbsolutePunk.net posted a new feature called “A Fresh Batch of Pop-punk”
and Barely Blind made the list! Check out the thread, leave a comment, and
listen to “Tommy With the Lights Out” while you’re there.
“Barely Blind have to be near the top of the list of bands that are most
likely to blow up on AP.net in the coming years. Though it seems like they’re
beginning to add an indie-pop layer to their sound, 2009’s My Life With A
Giant was solid pop-punk. Y’know, big hooks that are familiar without being
cliche, lyrics that are nostalgic without being overdone, and so on. It wasn’t
anything out of the ordinary, but for the most part, it was memorable enough.
Kim N. from Australia has been an incredible
supporter of TDR for awhile now. I can practically recite her full name and
address when prompted. She recently completed her collection of all our
releases—including Delightfully Pleased on vinyl! It's crazy to think
that something on my shelf is sitting on another shelf halfway around the world.
Now, I need to rattle my dags and release another album so she can enjoy it when
she chucks a sickie.
Barely Blind enter the studio this weekend to begin demoing songs for their upcoming full length! If you’re like me, this obviously
can’t come soon enough. In the meantime, download their two most recent singles
now. One is completely free and the other is only $0.99¢.
AbsolutePunk.net posted a video of Punchline’s acoustic version of
“Whatever I Want, Whenever I Want” from their backstage session in Providence,
It was performed in front of a small audience after the show was over during
their April tour.
Bridgett V. from Mooresville, IN recently ordered a
TDR Records Vinylpod t-shirt and Punchline Delightfully Pleased
CD. Needless to say, she rocks! But after addressing her package, Bridgett left
me asking one question: where the heck is Mooresville Indiana?!
